Von vielen weiteren, eher technischen Änderungen werden Sie wenig bis nichts mitbekommen. So wird u.a. die Schnittstelle fürs Synchronisieren der Belegdaten zwischen SLCM () und ADAM neu entwickelt. Zudem werden die Plugins (DigitLit, Panopto Video etc.) aktualisiert und das Löschmanagement auf alle Kurse erweitert.

Im Folgenden können Sie sich detailliert über die grössten Veränderungen informieren:

1. modernere und nutzerfreundlichere Oberfläche und Navigation
   1. neues Dashboard gibt Überblick und ist der Ausgangspunkt für all Ihre Aktivitäten auf ADAM
   2. schmaler Header lässt mehr Raum für die Inhalte
   3. "Slate" heisst die Schublade neben dem Menü; der Slate enthält Kontextmenü und -inhalte
   4. verbesserte Nutzung auf mobilen Geräten
2. Erweiterung des Funktionsumfangs
   1. Es kommen ein paar Bausteinen bzw. Objekten hinzu:
      1. Notizen: digitales Eselsohr
      2. Lernsequenzen: interessant für begleitetes Selbststudium
      3. Member Work Area: neuer, vierter Ordner-Typ: alle können Dateien ablegen und haben auf alle (!) Dateien Zugriff.
3. neues Hilfe & Support-Konzept
   1. rechtesensitive und kontextuelle ILIAS-Online-Hilfe und ILIAS-ToolTipps: quasi «von der Stange»
   2. ergänzend Unibas-Hilfe: alles, was unibas-spezifisch ist oder die ILIAS-Online-Hilfe nicht leistet
   3. didaktische Beratung via Mail und Zoom, statt Kursen und Sprechstunden, die immer weniger nachgefragt wurden
   4. technische Fragen: ITS-ServiceDesk bleibt Ansprechpartner
4. Unterstützung von Lehrteams
   1. Kurstutor (bisher: Contributor) kann dieselben Bausteine bzw. Objekte anlegen wie Kursadministrator (bisher: Manager)
   2. Einführung des Rechte-Tab: interessante Option für fortgeschrittene User und ausgetüftelte didaktische Konzepte
5. aktualisierte Nutzungsvereinbarung und weitere rechtliche Dokumente
   1. Nutzungsvereinbarung
   2. Datenschutzbestimmungen
   3. Impressum
6. Synergien mit anderen Hochschulen, die ILIAS nutzen
   1. Einheitliches Wording erleichtert die Nutzung verschiedener ILIAS-Installationen (z.B. EUCOR)
   2. gemeinsam mit anderen Hochschulen Ressourcen nutzen, neue Dinge entwickeln lassen und so Kosten sparen
   3. Synergien bei der Pflege von Plugins, Schnittstellen (HubSyncII: Belegen), Updates etc. 
7. Fokussierung aufs digitale Lernen
   1. Entlastung der Lernplattform vom hohen Schutzniveau: Inhalte mit besonders schützenswerten Daten fortan auf Alternativsystemen
   2. keine weiteren, kostenintensiven Security Audits mehr

Dear ADAM users,

the time has finally come! ADAM, the learning platform of the University of Basel, will receive a major update to ILIAS 7 for the upcoming fall semester, with the goal of getting closer to the ILIAS standard. The attractive Unibas specifics (occupancy generated members on ADAM, semester view etc.) will remain - you will be able to continue working on ADAM as usual and smoothly in a new, fresh environment. Your content on ADAM will of course remain intact. The familiar modules and functions will continue to be available to you; a few new ones will even be added. You will receive information about the update here in the news on ADAM.

The biggest changes for you are (see below for details):

1. more modern and user-friendly interface and navigation
2. extension of the functionalities
3. new help & support concept
4. new options for teaching teams
5. updated user agreement and other legal documents
6. synergies when using other ILIAS installations
7. focus on teaching

You will notice little or nothing of many other, more technical changes. For example, the interface for synchronizing data between SLCM and ADAM is being redeveloped. In addition, the plugins (DigitLit, Panopto Video etc.) will be updated and the deletion management will be extended to all courses.
For all those who want to get an early insight into the new ADAM, which will be ready in mid-July, we offer a short Guided Tour on June 22, 14h on Zoom, which will be recorded and made available afterwards. Information about this will also be available early on ADAM (news and banners).

   3. didactic advice via mail and zoom, instead of courses and office hours, which were less and less in demand
   4. technical questions: ITS-ServiceDesk remains the contact for support
4. new options for teaching teams
   1. course tutor (up to now: contributor) can create the same elements or objects as course administrator (up to now: manager)
   2. Introduction of rights tab: interesting option for advanced users and sophisticated didactical concepts
5. updated user agreement and further legal documents

6. focus on teaching
   1. relief of the learning platform from the high level of protection: content with particularly sensitive data henceforth on alternative systems
   2. no costly security audits anymore

   2. sharing of resources with other universities, having new things developed and thus save costs
   3. synergies in the maintenance of plugins, interfaces, updates etc. 

ADAM will offer you all these innovations from mid-July.
